Professional Experience

Bill was born in Illinois and received his degree in Business Administration from Olivet Nazarene College, Bourbonnais, Illinois in December 1965. Following graduation he joined the USAF and was sent to Vance AFB, Enid, Oklahoma in June 1966 for pilot training. Upon completion of training he served as a B-52 pilot and flew multiple missions in support of the Vietnam conflict from 1968-1971. Bill completed his tour of duty with the USAF in August 1971 and immediately entered Tulsa University College of Law, graduating in December 1973. He was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in April 1974. Bill returned to Enid and joined the firm in 1976. For more than 25 years he litigated personal injury and commercial claims throughout all of Northwest Oklahoma. He was active for many years as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America, Chisholm Trail Counsel, several community organizations and his local church. Bill has been married to Sherry Shaw for more than 30 years and is blessed with two children, three stepchildren and eleven grandchildren.
